General Care
To keep metal jewellery from tarnishing, store it an airtight container and avoid contact with moisture. Regularly clean with a soft cloth to maintain its luster and shine.
Depending on the design of your jewellery, certain beads or charms, especially anything that's sterling silver and silver or gold plated, are prone to tarnish. This is just a natural chemical reaction. It's caused by the metals reacting with natural moisture, oxygen and sulphur which causes it to oxidise and tarnish.
The speed at which it will become tarnished varies depending on a number of factors. However, following the below instructions can help slow the process down.
*When not in use, remove and store away the jewellery, ideally in an air tight bag or box out of natural daylight.
*Try not get the jewellery wet or submerge in any water.
*Avoid and keep away from any liquids or chemicals.
*Keep away from perfumes, aerosols such as hairspray, body creams, lotions (including sun lotion) and oils or ensure that they have completely dried on your skin before putting the bracelet on.
*Always remove the jewellery before doing any household cleaning, cooking, exercise and before you go bed, this will prevent any accidental damage.
* Keep out of direct sunlight for long periods of time, as this can cause some beads to fade.
